What is hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)?
(Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder. Skinnotion offers 2 treatment effective options:
- Anti wrinkle injections injections as a temporarily treatment for armpits, hands, feet, face.
- Vaser Liposuction as a permanent treatment for armpits.
While sweating is a normal body physiological function, some people naturally sweat more or less than others. Those individual sweat excessively can cause problems and embarrassment with work and social situation.
Hyperhidrosis affects both males and females and can start at any age. Hyperhidrosis may be localized or generalized. Body parts such as armpits, hands, feet and groin tend to perspire more due to high concentration of sweat glands in these areas.
If excessive sweating is limited to these areas it is called localized or primary hyperhidrosis. If the whole body perspires excessively it is called generalized or secondary hyperhidrosis, and this is usually caused by some systemic condition for example hyperthyroidism.
Hyperhidrosis can be effective controlled or treated now with anti wrinkle injections as temporarily treatment required one or twice a year or with a permanent but minimal invasive procedure called Vaser liposuction.
How does Vaser Liposuction Procedure Help Reduce Excessive Sweating?
Vaser Liposuction procedure can be used to treat Axillary Hyperhidrosis (excessive armpit sweating). Vaser liposuction for underarm sweating uses ultrasound to treat the superficial layer of the skin where the sweat glands are located.
The underarm affected area is filled with a special saline solution, tumescent which numbs the area and shrinks the blood vessels. This not only ensures minimum bleeding and bruising but also makes the area wet making it easier to break the gland tissues.
A small Vaser probe is used to transmit sound energy, which breaks the unwanted fatty sweat gland tissues without damaging the other tissues. The fat liquefies and dissolves into the tumescent solution. Small cannulas are then inserted through a small incision to gently remove the liquefied fatty gland out to give a significant reduction in sweating.
How effective are Excessive Sweating Treatments?
The effectiveness of excessive sweating treatments depends upon the type of hyperhidrosis treatment being taken. Use of clinical antiperspirants is the easiest and cheapest option for hyperhidrosis treatment but it has a low success rate. Anti wrinkle injections treatment is a highly effective cure for hyperhidrosis though it has to be taken at least twice a year. Vaser liposuction for sweating is a permanent cure for hyperhidrosis. Research has shown that more than 90% of the patients who underwent Vaser liposuction for underarm sweating reported less sweating after the first treatment itself. Nearly every patient has a drastic reduction after the second treatment.
