Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection/Therapy?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma is the concentrated part of blood that contains platelets. These platelets not only assist in blood clotting but also release growth factors that attract stem cells to help your body repair itself which, is done by the stimulation of cells to generate new tissues, skin.

As we grow older, our skin tends to lose its elasticity and fullness which leads to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. PRP Therapy stimulates skin cells resulting in increased elasticity, plumpness and tightening of the skin.

Before the procedure, a vial of blood sample is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate the portions of plasma and platelets. Under a topical local anaesthesia, the PRP portions of your blood are injected back into the skin.
